"I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me”
Like known as so deeply Good Shepherd Himself: “I am the good shepherd; and I know mine, and mine know me”. This divine communion with our divine Master, founded on the communication of the goods, the reciprocity in knowledge and the benevolence, in short on a true friendship - “I will not call you any more my servants… but my friends” -, first of all concerns the members priests of our Institute. But because the Christ-Lord sends his priests towards you, faithful or not, as the Father sent it towards us all, it is right that this reciprocal knowledge of Shepherd and the sheep passes through these friends whom It chose of any eternity. This is why, known as the Apostle, “we discharge an embassy near you” and our burning desire will be always to communicate to you the hope founded on this sureminent science of Jesus-Christ. The Institute of Good Shepherd is initially and will remain always the body of this paramount mission: “To spread among the nations the good odor of Jesus-Christ”. But because these are difficult times, because the charity of the great number cooled and because “the men do not support any more the healthy doctrines”, we will need sometimes, by preaching the word, “to insist in time and with against time to convince, beg, begin again”. We will always do it “in all patience and with the concern of informing”. The polemic is not our taste, we prefer the doctrinal defense of the traditional faith to him, that which gets the eternal life. Makes soft Providence which we are free of the traps of the dialectical one ; how its Light and its Kindness maintain serene to us with this mission, for the honor of God and Jesus Christ!
